Data, sync and staleness
Where numbers come from, how fresh they are, and what happens when they are not.
Sync
Roaraq pulls positions, balances, orders and fills from your broker every 60 seconds during market hours and every 15 minutes outside them, and at once after every order you place. The guard bar shows the age of the last sync.
Quotes
Quotes come from a market data provider and may be delayed by the provider's terms. The rule check uses the worst plausible price for the order: for a buy, the higher of last and limit; for a stop order, the stop price; plus the slippage buffer from your settings. Your broker's fill price is what counts.
Stale
If the last sync is older than five minutes or failed, the account is stale. The guard bar turns amber, orders that add exposure are refused, and orders that reduce it go through. When the sync succeeds again the state clears by itself.
Circuit breaker
Three consecutive provider failures open a circuit breaker for two minutes. The guard bar says the broker connection is degraded. Opens are refused; closes proceed. It closes itself.
Price history and sectors
The correlation cap and sector concentration rules need daily price history and a sector map. They report themselves as limited until at least 60 days of history exist for what you hold. The nightly job fills history in.
